Commercial Millwork in Maryland
Sixth Avenue Custom is a Maryland shop, and Maryland is home. We build custom commercial millwork and contract furniture out of our Frederick facility on a foundation of trust, integrity, and quality, for clients across the state. From Baltimore’s Harbor East to downtown Bethesda to the Annapolis waterfront, we partner with the hospitality groups, design studios, and developers shaping Maryland’s restaurants, hotels, and adaptive reuse projects.
Maryland’s best commercial spaces carry real history. Baltimore’s brick rowhouses and converted mill buildings, Frederick’s 19th-century downtown along Carroll Creek, the Georgian storefronts of Annapolis. Work in those rooms has to respect what is already there, and it has to hold up. Our casework, banquette seating, and architectural millwork is built for exactly that. Whether the project sits inside a James Beard-recognized restaurant in Fells Point, a boutique hotel near the Inner Harbor, or a corporate lounge along the Pike & Rose corridor in North Bethesda, we bring precision and quality control honed across hundreds of Maryland and East Coast projects. And because our shop is in state, we are never more than a short drive from your site.

What We Offer
Our Services Include
From bar and restaurant buildouts to corporate lounges and developer-led hospitality projects, our Maryland commercial millwork services are built around the details that define a space.
Why Custom Millwork
Benefits
Choosing Sixth Avenue Custom means work that fits your space and your brand exactly. Every piece is made to order, balancing function with a finish that reads as deliberate rather than off the shelf. Our detail work produces durable, good-looking interiors that stand up to Maryland’s high-traffic commercial rooms and the humidity that rolls in off the Chesapeake every summer.

Perfect Fit
Every piece is designed and built to the exact dimensions of your space, so it fits the way stock options never will.
Superior Materials
We select premium hardwoods and materials chosen to perform through Maryland's humid summers and cold winters, built to last through years of daily commercial use.
Increased Value
Custom millwork is an investment that raises the aesthetic and brand value of your hospitality, retail, or corporate property anywhere in the Maryland market.
Our Approach
White Glove Service
At Sixth Avenue Custom, our service reflects a real commitment to quality and to the client relationship. Being a Maryland shop means our Maryland clients get the closest version of that attention: in-person walkthroughs, direct communication, and expert oversight from the first shop drawing through the final install, with our own team on site.

The Sixth Avenue Difference
Why Choose Us
Maryland commercial projects move fast, run on tight construction calendars, and demand work that performs under heavy daily use. Sixth Avenue Custom brings the craftsmanship, communication, and execution these projects need, from first shop drawing to final install.
Craftsmanship That Holds Up
Restaurant banquettes get sat on thousands of times. Hotel casework gets touched every day. Our artisans build with traditional joinery, premium hardwoods, and finishes made for the wear a busy Baltimore dining room or Annapolis hotel lobby actually sees.
Pricing You Can Plan Around
Maryland developers and hospitality operators work on tight budgets and tighter margins. We deliver luxury-grade millwork at transparent, fixed pricing. No hidden costs, no surprise change orders, no pricing games when scope shifts.
Schedules That Respect Yours
A delayed restaurant opening costs real money. A pushed-back hotel reno wrecks the marketing calendar. We build to the schedule, flag issues early, and protect your opening date the way we would our own. Working in our home state means no shipping delays and no waiting on an out-of-town crew, so we can get on site fast when something needs eyes.
Quality You Can Inspect
Every piece passes rigorous in-shop inspection before it leaves our Frederick facility, with photo documentation available for clients and design teams. We stand behind the work with the same accountability we have built across hundreds of Maryland and East Coast hospitality, corporate, and adaptive reuse projects.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our custom millwork services in Maryland. If you don’t see your question here, we would love to hear from you.
We serve the entire state from our Frederick shop. That includes Frederick and Western Maryland, the Baltimore metro (Inner Harbor, Harbor East, Fells Point, Federal Hill, Canton, Hampden, and Towson), the Montgomery County corridor (Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Rockville, North Bethesda, and Silver Spring), Annapolis and the Bay area, Columbia and Howard County, National Harbor and Prince George’s County, Southern Maryland, and the Eastern Shore. Because we are based in state, we manage Maryland projects with in-person attention and our own installation crews, no out-of-town logistics.
Most projects run six to sixteen weeks from initial design to final installation, depending on scope, materials, and finish complexity. Smaller commercial pieces move faster. A full restaurant or hospitality buildout naturally takes longer. Once we understand your vision and timeline, we give you a clear schedule so you know exactly what to expect at every stage.
Yes. We manage the full process, from design consultation and shop drawings through fabrication and installation. Since we are a Maryland shop, our own crew handles delivery and install directly, with no third-party subcontractors passing your project around. You get one point of contact and one accountable team from start to finish.
We work with a wide range of premium hardwoods, including walnut, white oak, maple, cherry, and mahogany, along with high-grade veneers, exotic species, and engineered substrates when the application calls for it. Material selection follows the design intent, durability needs, and Maryland’s climate, especially the humidity swings between muggy Chesapeake summers and dry winters.
Absolutely. A large share of our projects come through architects, interior designers, and general contractors, and we collaborate closely with Maryland design firms and GCs we have worked alongside for years. We handle technical drawings, material samples, and coordination, and we communicate clearly so your design partner stays informed without the constant back-and-forth.
The easiest way is our contact form or a free consultation. We will talk through your vision, scope, timeline, and budget, then walk you through next steps. From there our team handles design development, material selection, fabrication, and installation, keeping you posted at every milestone.
